Robotics
The Lopez-Riggins Robotics Club is customized for beginner to advanced learners from across the school district in grades fourth and fifth. Over the course of the year, students will explore a multitude of hands-on robotics and electronic activities with a range of low- and high-tech gear. Students will learn teamwork and problem-solving skills while building and programming robots to overcome challenges throughout the week. Students will learn critical thinking skills and modify their robot designs based on varying conditions. Using visual drag-and-drop programming software, a range of sensors, and teamwork, your student can build anything. As students have fun building robots and competing in robotics missions, weekly robotics practices will lay a strong foundation for future study in computer engineering, math, mechanical engineering, and other STEM subjects.
